University of Louisiana at Lafayette

2016 - 2020

I began studying at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in the fall of 2016. I originally majored in Biology, before changing my major to Journalism. While at the university, I had stories published in the university's newspaper and was a journalist for the university's Cypress Lake Wire Service. I happily graduated in May 2020.

Freelance Copywriter & Ghostwriter

March 2018 - December 2019

While attending ULL, I worked as a freelance copywriter, ghostwriter, and social media manager for various brands via Upwork.

Copywriter at Halawani Nutrition (March 2018 - September 2018)
- Created marketing copy for this client's new website. This included writing product pages, an 'About Us' page, and additional work as needed.
Social Media Manager/Ghost Writer at Glover Health (October 2018 - December 2019)
- As a freelance social media manager/blog writer, I wrote SEO-friendly blogs for the company blog and created social media graphics to promote the blogs on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. I also worked to increase follower count and viewer engagements through the use of relevant hashtags and locations, aesthetic posts, timeliness of posts, and interaction with viewers through comments.

Full Time Roles

December 2019 - March 2021

During my senior year at ULL, I started an internship at Dexcomm Answering and Communications Services. Upon graduation, this role was converted into a full-time position with the company. At this time, I also began freelancing as an e-commerce copy editor to further my experience.

While I learned a great deal with my team at Dexcomm, I left my role after 15 months to move closer to family and expand my career.

Contract Roles

August 2021 - February 2024

After relocating, I began working contract roles to gain experience with larger companies. I worked as a copywriter, content creation specialist, content strategist, and technical writer. In my downtime, I also freelanced as a tutorial writer and tech writer.

Each of these roles was ultimately cut due to budgeting restrictions or company restructuring.

University of Central Florida

2024 - Summer 2026

In Fall 2024, I began working on my Master of Arts (MA) in Instructional Design and Technology at UCF. This program is 100% online and does not interfere with traditional work hours.
